There have so many students are majoring in engineering in MSU, and engineering major is more and more popular. So, this blog will talk about what should engineering students do in MSU.
First of all, engineering students need to finish some of required course before apply the engineering school. For electrical engineering major, those classes are calculus one to four, physics 183 and 184, chemistry 141 and 161, CSE 220, engineering class and an biology class. also, the required class will be a little bit different, this is depends on your major. For example, if you are major in chemical engineering, you have to take more chemistry class.
Except the required class, you may also take the professional class though you are not in engineering school yet. For me, I am an electrical engineering student, I am going to go to engineering school in the junior year. But I need to start to take the professional class in the sophomore year. Do not think you still have enough time to study, because you can not make sure that you can pass every class, and you may retake some of the class. So, make a plan, and give yourself more challenge, take the professional class as early as possible.
For engineering student, the experience is important as well. The experience could be internship, engineering project, or study abroad scholarship experience. those experience can be written to your resume in the future. And those experience also could help you become a better engineer. In MSU, if you took EGR 100, then you know how to write a resume, and that class also give you many opportunity to find an internship.
